There were six external attendees, comprising of two staff nurses from Auckland District Health Board and four registered nurses’ from Braemar and Waikato Hospital, as well as Olympus Associate Sales Specialist, Erin McSorley. The course was run by Gastroenterologist, Dr Ratna Pandey (Waitemata Endoscopy) with assistance from Clinical Educator, Premsiri Ngoenthongkrajang, and Sales Specialist, Andre McCallaghan.
The attendees started the morning with a presentation to help them gain an understanding of the gastrointestinal anatomy and physiology related to the ERCP procedure. They then spent some time participating in hands-on training using the upper GI model and Olympus duodenoscope.
The course and information was valued by all those in attendance. Feedback included; “Very clear and contained all the relevant information I was hoping for” (Marissa Martin, Auckland District Health Board).
One attendee commented about how great Olympus LIVE was for training.
