ERCP can be a technically challenging diagnostic and therapeutic procedure. Many nurses are not regularly involved with ERCP procedures, which can make gaining and maintaining proficiency challenging. It is important for nurses to have a good knowledge and understanding of the procedure and how the instruments are used. This course will focus on the relevant pancreaticobiliary anatomy and physiology, indications for ERCP, devices used for the procedure, the nurse’s role and the teamwork necessary for successful performance of ERCP. An experienced Endoscopist will assist with facilitating the program to provide clinical aspects of this procedural area.
This course will be facilitated by a leading ERCP Specialist.
