The 5th Advanced Endoscopy Imaging Symposium was held in Adelaide February 7-8 2020. Led by Course Convenor Professor Raj Singh, the course aimed to teach Endoscopists the latest techniques in endoscopic imaging with an emphasis on improving the diagnostic ability to detect, characterise and treat oesophageal, gastric, duodenal and colorectal lesions.
A combination of cases, didactic lectures and video forums provided a holistic overview of current diagnosis and treatment paradigms. International and national experts graced the event and guided delegates in focused ‘Ask the Experts’ sessions.
Day One of the program was held at Lyell McEwin Hospital, SA, where Professor Raj Singh combined a mixture of didactic lectures and live cases to the 60 strong audience. The live cases generated great discussion and learning for the attendees on complications – how to recognise, treat and avoid. The live cases were conducted in the following order:
Day two of the program was held at the University Of Adelaide with a focus on Upper GI and Lower GI procedures, and the topic of ‘”Endoscopy and the Future”. The “Expert on the spot: ask me anything and video forum” that was conducted for each session generated great discussion and debate.
A live YouTube stream was beamed into Melbourne, Perth and Auckland and was also viewed in Mangalore (India) and Hong Kong.
